this is what I do:
I’ve historically struggled to identify a singular, solidified personal style. Recently, however, I started to identify central themes and foundations that inform most everything I do. Primarily influenced by structure, space, & abstraction. I’m a metered, reasonable individual that is occasionally struck by flights of fancy, something that is reflected in my work. I often look towards architecture for inspiration, as it represents the strictest of structural forms. I turn to the classics to further develop an understanding of line, perspective, and composition. This is what I have learned thus far, now, to continue my growth, I’m propelled by the idea of pursuing more.
Some things about me:
-Currently reading: anything by Ronald Sukenick or the great Haruki Murakami and the Art of Modernism by Sandro Bocola
-Preferred outdoor activities: tennis, hiking, nature studies, hammocking and swimming in oceans.
-Artist that inspire me: Giorgio de Chirico, Vivian Maier, Charles Demuth, Agnes Martin, Roy Lichtenstein and Malika Favre.
-Passions: printmaking, design, dancing and curating good spaces.
